There's something special about the South East of England. The countryside is beautiful and our towns are packed with fresh business talent, especially in the digital arena. Our transport links are superb, with excellent bus and train services joining us up with one another. And being so close to London delivers its own commercial benefits, on the doorstep of the nation's beating business heart.
This is the landscape we operate in, and we're thrilled to be working with small, medium and large organisations throughout the county, including carrying out bookkeeping in Lancing for a growing number of thriving companies.
If the business rentals in Brighton are too expensive for you, Lancing is an excellent place to kick off a new business or move an existing business to. It's close enough to Brighton for rock 'n' roll, on the main line London train route so easily commutable from all over Sussex. It's sandwiched between the gorgeous South Downs and the sea. There's the excellent Lancing College school, of course, complete with its stunning chapel, and the town is good value for money as regards renting office premises. For shopping, you're roughly equidistant between Brighton and Worthing, and historic Shoreham-by-Sea is just along the road.
Welcome to Lancing
Originally a Saxon name, Lancing probably means 'the people of Wlanc or people of Hlanc'. An Iron Age shrine was dug up there in 1828, hinting at a much longer history than we see today. A Roman temple has been discovered west of Lancing Ring. The track between Chanctonbury and Cissbury rings probably dates back to Celtic times. And the Roman road from Chichester to Portslade used to run through what is now North Lancing.
Lancing village was a popular seaside resort in the mid-1800s, loved by the aristocracy for its seclusion. The town's railway station opened in 1849. There are very few old buildings left that date back beyond 1820, and the village's ancient history is mostly long gone. Today, Lancing Business Park's Business Improvement District is a top destination for start-ups and existing firms, attracted by its great facilities. There are around 290 buildings on site, everything from large factories and showrooms to single offices, occupied by a total of 240 or so companies and employing about 2500 people.
Lancing is probably most renowned for the stunning chapel at Lancing College - visible from the A27
